We are just back from a lovely vacation in London and Amsterdam. We had a lovely chat with the Queen, she stops by at many shops to greet the locals!

Off to Amsterdam and look at the great bikes I wish we were using! Tandem style and in my favourite colour!

This is the four of us ready to head out for our first day, we were all smiles and full of energy - by the time we got back, we were no longer smiling! We were exhausted - 45km, but the next day (6 in total), we got back on our bikes and did it all again!

A fabulous time and certainly a heck of a lot of fun!

A Day in Paris by Zen Chic

I love this collection from Zen Chic, the pretty circular designs have a touch of metallic giving it that touch of elegance.

It would make a lovely baby quilt or use the full collection in the jelly roll or layer cake.

Two patterns from Zen Chic; Bowls and Colour Chart. Bowls features the fabric line, A Day in Paris while Colour Chart could very pretty using the new grouping.

As many of you know, Mariposa House Hospice is building just down the road from us! I wanted thimbles & things to offer something special to this much needed building. The Town & Country Quilt which I made a few years ago is the perfect quilt to get the community involved and raise funds for the house. With 365 blocks making up the quilt (not to mention the borders!), I felt we could remake the quilt and sell the blocks for $100 and raise over $30,000!!! The fabric has been donated, and all the blocks will be stitched here at the store by a team of dedicated quilters allowing us to donate everything to Mariposa House Hospice!

If you know of a business who would like to buy a block, or perhaps you would like to sponsor a block, please contact me via email or at the store. The original quilt is currently hanging in the store and the Mariposa House Hospice Quilt will be very similar!
