Here is a quick review for making HSTs.

Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of an fabric A square.

Place a fabric B square right sides together with the marked square and sew a scant quarter inch on each side of the drawn line.
Slice in half on the drawn line. Press the seam allowance to the darker side of the HST.
Trim the HSTs to 2½” (3½”, 4½”) squares.
You will have made 2 AB half-square triangles.
Deb Tucker the designer of the Tucker Trimmer ruler has a great Youo Tube demonstration. Click here.
There is a chart on page 2 of the pattern that lists the HSTs we need to make. This week we are only going as far as CX. Please note that some HSTs have an *. This means that one from this grouping will not be used. For example, 4 AW* is listed. We only need 3 in this quilt. Put one aside to be used in another project.
Tip:    - Stack the like HSTs and pin them together with a clear label, i.e.. AB.
           - Use the chart and check off the HSTs as you get them done.
Wow! 40 HSTs! Congratulations.

Installment  #4 will be posted June 28th, 2021
