Mariposa Puzzle 4 - 9 Blocks

Our goal this week is to construct 9 blocks.
You will need:
- pattern pages 3, 4 and 5
- a sewing machine and regular sewing supplies
- an iron and ironing surface
- the following HSTs: 5 AB, 1 AD, 2 AV, 2 AW, 2 AX, 3 BC, 1 BE, and 1 CV.
- the following fabric pieces:

The blocks this week are a little more complicated. Below are 2 of the blocks, #5 and #26.


Please notice the final 2 seams in each case (double ended arrows). In #4, we are assembling the block in rows and in #26, we are assembling the block in columns. Always check this out before beginning each block.
The pressing directions allow for nesting of seam allowances. If you are ever in doubt as the the pressing direction...opt for open seams.
The picture below shows nesting seam allowances.

Your assignment this week is to complete blocks 5, 9, 10, 16, 17, 26, 38, 46 and 52.
Remember to adhere a label to each block with its proper orientation.
To date we have completed 21 blocks. Here are some suggestions as to how to store them:
- in a large plastic bag

- in a craft box

- on a pant hanger
