HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU? July 27 2014
EVERY NOW & THEN WE GET THE PHONE CALL
& IT'S NOT PRETTY
"I've run out of fabric!"
In complete and utter sympathy we reply, "Oh boy! That's not good. What fabric was it?"
The distressed quilter then tries to describe the fabric but to no avail.
Here's a little tip some of you may find helpful.
You know the sticky little price tags that get stuck onto every single cut of fabric you buy at thimbles & things? They not only help you check out at the cash register, but it's our way of keeping inventory.
When you come in and buy fabric for a quilt project, keep a record. Here's how:
Buy an inexpensive notebook that will serve as a record of your quilt projects. Create a page for a specific quilt. Cut a swatch of the fabric, paste it to the page and add our price tag right beside the swatch!!!
If you can read us the number just under the bar code, we can tell you if we have it in stock.
AND BOY OH BOY, IF WE'VE GOT IT, THEN SO DO YOU!!!!
WE WILL GO AHEAD AND CUT WHAT YOU NEED AND PUT IT ASIDE FOR YOU.
ALL WILL BE FINE!!!
