So, it's all true. On Tuesday afternoon Sue B. tripped over some sewing machine cords and fell to the ground pretty much landing on her elbow. From all reports it was almost like watching a slow motion film. It was a nasty landing. She did indeed dislocate her arm and break her elbow.
Quilters swiftly came to her aid. A lime green plastic bag was filled with snow. Where on earth did they get such a bag?!?!?! Good thinking though!
Jen got Sue into her van and carefully drove her to OSMH. Jennifer reported back from the ER.
Once the swelling abates, surgery will certainly be taking place.
In the meantime, Sue's left arm has been "relocated after being dislocated" (direct quote from unnamed source) and she is taking all possible meds available to mankind in order to stay comfortable, and although she is very brave, I suspect we are not hearing the full story about the level of pain.
WE WISH YOU THE BEST SUE!!! STAY WARM AND COZY!!!! THANK GOODNESS THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN TWO DAYS BEFORE IRELAND!!!
We promise to keep our quilting family up to date with Sue's progress.
