Sweet Snow Along 9 - Three More Pieced Blocks

The goal this week is to assemble 3 blocks: Row 7 Block 6, Row 3 Block 3 and Row 5 Block 2.
You will need:
- sewing machine loaded with a neutral thread
- iron and pressing surface
- previously made HSTs
- Black Vintage Cookbook fabric
- White Solid fabric
- Green Vintage Cookbook fabric
- Pink Sugary Snow fabric
Just a reminder, two methods of assembly will be referred to. 1-showing the assembly used by the pattern designer (sewing triangles) and 2- using only HSTs with no sewing of triangles.

Method 1:
Slice each 3⅞” white square and each 2⅜” black square in half diagonally.
Using the Pieced Block Guide in the pattern as a guide, lay all of the pieces out beside your sewing machine as they would appear in the block and sew them together.
Square the block to 8".
Method 2:
Lay all of the pieces out beside your sewing machine as they would appear in the block and sew them together. Hint: Work in rows.
Square the block to 8".

Method 1:
Slice each 3⅞” white square and each 2⅜” green square in half diagonally.
Using the Pieced Block Guide in the pattern as a guide, lay all of the pieces out beside your sewing machine as they would appear in the block and sew them together.
Square the block to 8".
Method 2:
Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of the white 2½” squares then place right sides together with the green 2½” squares.
Sew a scant ¼" on each side of the drawn lines.
Slice along the drawn lines and press the seam allowances towards the green side.
Square the 8 HSTs to 2". ( A Tucker Trimmer ruler is very useful here.)
Assemble the pieces as shown below. Hint: Sew the 4 quadrants first.
Square the block to 8".
