For years we have done the overlap when making a pillow back.  Now we have mastered the zipper backing and it is even easier (and uses less fabric) than the “old fashioned” way!  Don’t be afraid of zippers anymore!

Free Motion Quilting with Rulers – beginner 

For this class you will need a ruler foot which fits your machine plus 2 handi quilter rulers.  Learn how to use these 2 rulers to enhance your free motion quilting!

Texting by Machine

Put your cell phone down, we aren’t doing that kind of texting!  Use your sewing machine to personalize your next quilt.  Add a name, write a poem, stitch in a phrase.  Kim will show you how add a finishing touch to your quilt.

In a Bind

Bindings are the finishing touch to add to the quilt. Learn how to add them to your quilt in the neatest ways possible.  Two colour, faux piped and regular machine stitched binding

Using a jelly roll and your leftover batting strips, create these unique pillows or placemats.  They will be a one of a kind look to match your jelly roll rug or a set for an upcoming wedding.

Cozy Cuddle Fabric

These quilts are incredibly soft and cozy and perfect to make for the family!  Although “cuddle” or minky is a bit harder to work with, I’ll share my secrets for successful sewing.

Raggedy Quilt

We have been making this quilt for 20 years, but it is just as popular as ever.  This is the perfect first quilt as it is very forgiving and can be made entirely on the sewing machine. The flannels right now are super soft and can be used for anyone in the family!

PeaPods

These fun little pouches can carry your coins, small cosmetics, little quilting supplies, odds and ends etc….Maxine will share with you the secret for putting zipper pulls back on a zipper and you will leave making at least one if not two or three of these in class!

Paperless Paper Piecing
