An optical illusion is created by sewing together these fabrics to create a quilt any person fascinated with shapes would enjoy.  Colour choice is important to get the right illusion.

Mod Dogs

Use those newsprint type fabrics you have been saving to make this happy cheerful quilt.  The dogs (or substitute cats if you prefer!)are made from bits of bright fabrics and a neat scrappy technique.

Tumbling Triangles

Use the V-block ruler to make this fascinating quilt.  It looks like confetti strewn all over!  Two colours make the fabric selection easy!

Tuffet

Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet and now you can make your very own!  Quickly constructed with a jelly roll and assembled with the assistance of Tony!  All tuffet parts are available in class.

Town Bag or City Bag

Sue receives many comments on her bags and she has all the tips for making yours look like a one of kind designer bag!  Zippers and hardware are a snap to install and make the bag look extraordinary!

  • Pattern: Town Bag or City Bag by Lazy Girl Designs
  • Small Package of Soft and Stable® OR .6m Flex Foam®
  • 1- 22” zipper
  • 1- 14” zipper for outside of purse –if desired
  • 1- 14” zipper for inside of.4 purse –if desired
  • Medium weight Interfacing- .6m (includes extra for optional pockets)
  • Wonder Tape
  • The pattern calls for a Bag “B” Bottom, I use a piece of Décor bond and lining fabric hand stitched in place.
  • Optional- buttons for decoration.
  • Sewing machine with ¼” foot and new needle.
  • Rotary Cutter with sharp blade, ruler-12’ or 18” long
  • Thread to match, sewing supplies, pins, ripper, scissors etc. marking pencil
  • Science Fair

    Making hexagons with a jelly roll couldn’t be simplier!  Jennifer will show you how to cut, press and piece perfectly to get all your seams aligned.  The results are fabulous!

    Baffle Your Quilts

    Make this simple jelly roll quilt, but finish off in this great to learn quilt as you go technique.  You’ll be able to apply this finishing method for more of your quilts in the future.
