Winter Virtual Classes 2023
All Classes are via ZOOM
One Winter 2023 Virtual Class Pass is good for all classes in January to April 3 and are available for PURCHASE HERE .
Upon purchase of your class pass an email with your teachers contact informaion will be emailed to you. You can then register directly with the teacher by including your order #. Registrations are accepted until one week prior to the first class.
Most classes are approximately one hour and are lecture based with demos and some class discussions. All classes are live and and interactive.

Bitty/Midi/Mondo Bag This pack contains instructions, as well as Quiltsmart-printed interfacing panels to make two Midi Bags. The interfacing features perfectly-matched seams and easy construction. This is a Fun Quick Project, finished bag is 8in x 8in x 12in. Don’t stop at the Midi Bag! You can make a Bitty bag or a Mondo bag, too, applying the same techniques. Lucky Lemoynes This exciting quilt design created by Deb Tucker is made using a layout of Lemoyne stars interspersed with groups of Shaded 4 Patches. The quilt uses Deb’s Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star and Tucker Trimmer. With these tools you won’t have to gamble on this design coming out exactly how you want it to.

One Block Wonder Choosing a fabric to make a One Block Wonder quilt is critical, and we’ll be looking at the prints, repeats, and styles that work best. Accurate cutting, pressing, and piecing will also be an integral part of the class, and you’ll get some inspiration on adding some unique elements to the quilt.

Pineberry The Pineberry Quilt is fat quarter-friendly, traditionally pieced, and measures 60 1/2" x 68 3/4". The pattern includes a bonus Jam Jar block. This is a great pattern for learning various piecing techniques, and you can pick up tips on point matching, chain-piecing, and more.

Unicorn Garden Join Astrid as she teaches her latest pattern, Unicorn Garden. This is sure to make any little girl happy! This throw-sized quilt (59” x 72”) is traditionally pieced with the exception of the horn, which is foundation paper pieced. The pattern is detailed with step-by-step instructions with numerous full-colour diagrams, cutting charts, and tags to label all your pieces.

Toes in the Sand (Continued from previous session) Toes in the Sand was first released in 2012 and recently rereleased using Tula Pink fabrics. You may use either pattern version, and you’ll need the Hex n More ruler by Jaybird Quilts. The shape of the block is a triangle, so we have loads to learn for pressing, accuracy, and much more. Tula Pink Butterfly (Size 88” by 94”) The pattern for The Butterfly Quilt was recently rereleased, and it’s magnificent. Purchase a kit while they last, or go for a completely wild and crazy butterfly with your colours of choice. Either way, you’ll have a beautiful version of this quilt. You may use either version of the pattern for the class. We’ll cover the accuracies of piecing, pressing, and cutting. There are some curved seams and applique to round out your skills. Great for all levels.

Snowflake The Snowflake Quilt is a beautiful modern winter quilt. There are two ways to assemble this quilt. You can follow along with the larger block assembly style on the 1-color or 4-color version or stay simple with the square and HST scrappy version. Finished size 60in x 72in.

Entangled Sky The Entangled Sky quilt is made from 2-1/2in strips and is deceptively easy to assemble. All the magic happens with three shades of each colour, in light, medium, and dark. Constructed essentially from two different blocks, get a 3D effect by arranging the A and B blocks to meet each other. Achieve a complicated architectural look without all the fussy piecing.
