Frozen Fountain
The Fractured Star was designed as a beginner pattern to introduce quilters to paper piecing. The project is fast. Uses only 1 foundation block, employs simple cutting techniques and is an affordable and fun way to jump into your first paper piecing project. It is meant to make those new to the process find confidence, understanding and success.
Finished size is 80" x 80".
Fabric Requirements:
7 yds of background and a Heirloom Strip Set or other Quiltworx 2 1/2" strip set.
Alternate: 7/8 yd or (12) 2 1/2" strips for A2; 1 3/4 yd or (24) 2 1/2" strips for A3 and 5/8 yd or (8) strips for B4.
2 1/2 yds for batting.
5/8 yd for binding.
5 yds for backing.
