Have a bowtie quilt on your bucket list but want to avoid those inset points? This technique is the answer! The foundation of the bowties are actually four-patches cut from 10-inch squares (or your stash). A fabric square is then turned over freezer paper and appliqued over the center. Voila! A perfect bowtie block in five minutes! An added bonus? The appliqued square gives the knot a 3-D affect.
Quilt Size: 54-1/2in x 84-1/2in.
Project Time: 6+ Hours.
